Altare Glass Art Museum
Altare, Savona
Altare, together with Murano, is one of the two historic capitals of Italian glass. The museum is housed in the scenic Villa Rosa, an Art Nouveau building of 1905, and gathers works of glass art from 1650 to the present day alongside the old tools of the craft. It tells the story of the Altarese masters, glassmakers who emigrated all over Europe and spread the techniques of their art.
