Magical Transparencies – The Glass of Ancient Albingaunum
Albenga, Savona
Housed in Palazzo Oddo, the exhibition brings together a substantial number of ancient glass pieces (1st–3rd century AD) from the excavations of the necropolis of Albingaunum, Roman Albenga. Its showpiece, at the end of the itinerary, is the extraordinary cobalt-blue plate engraved with two putti dancing in honour of Bacchus.
