«Cav. G. Avena» Museum Complex
Chiusa di Pesio, Cuneo
The museum preserves the memory of the Royal Glass and Crystal Works, modelled on the French royal manufactories and brought to Chiusa di Pesio in 1759 by Charles Emmanuel III: it was the most important glassworks of the Savoyard states until 1854. The exhibition illustrates the production techniques of glass and crystal, from everyday bottles to pieces of great value, alongside sections devoted to ceramics and the local area.
